Ceralti company extends over 60 hectares on the hills of Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri . Since 1889 it has belonged to the Rutili family, and today the company is run by husband Walter Alfeo and son Iacopo Alfeo. The total area of the company is divided into different plots because the vineyards fall on soils with completely different geological and morphological characteristics. They range from the cold soils above the road to Bolgheri , rich in stone and clay, combined with ferrous minerals of Etruscan origin, to the warm and sandy soils, rich in sea salt from the nearby coastal sandy beaches. The proximity of the sea creates a microclimate with dry and windy summers, which leads to better ripening and health of the grapes.
