Epesses Gr. Cru AOC Lavaux Satin Pourpre 2023

Little known in Lavaux in the 1970s, this grape variety has become a great classic. Thanks to its excellent adaptation to the soils of Lavaux and the significant increase in temperature in the region, its wines are fruity and generous and go perfectly with a meal! Antoine Bovard was one of the first winegrowers in Lavaux to plant this grape variety.

Simple finger food, Italian dishes, polenta gratin with gorgonzola, stews, rabbit with mustard, veal with marsala, lamb with thyme, cream and sage sauce or aromatic Mediterranean herbs.

Lively opening with herbal-tertiary aromas such as rosebud, ivy, leather and tobacco on the nose. The middle is generous and brings a light sweetness, carried by enveloping tannins. The finish is long and floating with a pleasant bitterness. A complex wine with a dark bouquet that stimulates the imagination and appeals to the subconscious.
