INVENTA, which means ‘discovery’ in Latin, is an invitation to be surprised by the exceptional potential of some of the plots in our vineyards. The meticulous work carried out on these parcels over the years reflects the great terroir of these vintages. They are not stressful in hot weather, but they do not give the vines much vigour. The Grenache shines through, with very low yields, under 30hl/ha, the wines are dense, with a fine minerality, without excessive density.

Pairing

This wine is a perfect match for a cherry and chocolate dessert (with a high percentage of cocoa), but also for a veal fillet mignon with truffles or a mature rib-eye steak.

Tasting notes

The nose impresses with intense aromas of raspberry, underlined by discreet notes of leather and spices. The attack reveals intense fruitiness, marked sweetness, fleeting hints of marshmallow and a lingering raspberry liqueur, while the palate is defined by finesse, length and purity of fruit. The generosity is framed by tannins which, on the finish, exalt delicate notes of leather and tobacco.

The wine has a beautiful, intense ruby-violet colour, typical of a highly concentrated wine. The nose is expressive, greedy and very flattering, with notes of ripe, jammy fruit and light tobacco. The palate becomes more complex as the woodiness melds with notes of leather and black olive. Beautiful fullness due to the aromatic intensity, underpinned by the concentration of the well-structured, well-integrated tannins, which are in no way aggressive. The whole is rich and silky.
