Leone de Castris

The Leone de Castris have owned a lot of land in Apulia since the middle of the 17th century. Salvatore de Castris is currently at the helm of the family winery, supported by his son Piernicola . The family owns over 380 hectares of vineyards, but this is still not enough for the impressive production of 3.5 million bottles annually, which is why they buy additional grapes from a group of trusted winemakers. The company's list of labels reads like a picture book of Apulian winemaking over the last 50 years. There are old classics such as the famous Rosé Five Roses, the first bottled wine after the war, as well as established upstarts such as the Salice Salentino Riserva Donna Lisa.
