La Vigna Zappalanotte

Zappalanotte is the nickname of an old farmer who, together with his family, planted a vineyard on a plot of land caressed by the winds of the Salento Sea. His love for this vineyard led him to cultivate it even at night, taking advantage of the moonlight. Today, after three generations, this vineyard gives us only a few grapes, which, however, carry the essence of that courage and dedication. " Nullus enim locus sine genio est ", nothing represents the spirit of a place better than a vineyard. Harvest after harvest (over 60 years), in an indissoluble bond between the environment and events, the vineyard takes on an existential meaning, a place where man realizes himself. In the Brindisi area, viticulture has ancient roots. The first production dates back to the Mycenaean civilization (Bronze Age, 1600 BC) and was handed down over the centuries by the Greeks and Romans.
