Fontalloro IGT Toscana 2016

"The vineyards from which the grapes for the production of Fontalloro come are located in the Chianti Classico area in the upper part of Fèlsina and in the Chianti Colli Senesi appellation (at altitudes between 330 and 407 metres above sea level). The vineyards are mainly south-west facing and are characterised by different soils: rocky, calcareous and clayey, as in Chianti Classico; rich in sand, silt, small pebbles and marine sediments, as on the border with the Crete Senesi. First year of production 1983.

Noble pasta dishes, white meat and poultry.

Crimson, violet reflections. Typical Sangiovese nose of sour cherries and red currants. Quite balanced on the palate, fine-grained tannins on the finish.
