Querceto di Castellina

Die Ortschaft Querceto wurde bereits in den Karten des Kapitän Parte Guelfa im 16. Jahrhundert namentlich erwähnt. Seit 1944 besteht der Betrieb Querceto di Castellina nun und ist seitdem im Familienbesitz. Die Gesamtfläche des Reblandes beträgt 11,20 Hektar auf ungefähr 450 m. ü. M. Die Struktur des Bodens aus Kalksteinmergel ist reich an Texturen und ermöglicht eine perfekte Drainage und eine Begünstigung der Aufnahme von Stoffen, welche für den Stoffwechel notwendig sind. Die ausgezeichnete Lage der Weinberge, das Mikroklima, die "Dichte der Reben; über 6.200 Pflanzen pro Hektar, sowie die geringe Ausbeute tragen dazu bei, dass Quercetos Weine ihre unverwechselbare Komplexität und Eleganz erhalten.
