Planeta is a journey through Sicily. A journey from west to east, from Sambuca di Sicilia and Menfi to Vittoria Noto and the Etna . Alessio, Francesca and Santi Planeta created the winery and the project, but behind them is the whole family, which has been rooted in the Sicilian wine industry for generations. The Planeta winery project was born here, in the five wineries and the 390 hectares of vineyards that surround them. Planeta is committed to patient, meticulous research, both into the past and the future. The Planeta winery is particularly deeply rooted in Sicily's ancient wine-growing tradition and its invaluable heritage of native grape varieties. In this respect, the aim of this Planeta project is extremely rigorous: to highlight the typical characteristics of these great varieties by growing wine exclusively on their ancestral soils.
