The Viettis have been producing wine in medieval Castiglione Falletto for four generations. Carlo Vietti founded the company in the late 1800s, and in 1919 his son Mario began selling the first Vietti wines. They are the only ones to own vineyards in all the best locations around Barolo ( Rocche , Brunate , Lazzarito , Castiglione, etc.). After son-in-law Mario Cordero joined the company in 1960 and vineyard work was handed over to son Luca Currado , the winery's real triumph began. Here, traditional methods of winemaking are coupled with the use of modern technology, intelligent work in the vineyard and, above all, strict selection of grapes. This basis produces wines full of character - extraordinarily fruity with a firm body and the greatest finesse.
