Nero d'avola, one of the traditional grape varieties of Sicily The wine is usually deep dark (hence the part of the name "black") and concentrated, without lacking the necessary acidity. The Nero d'Avola grape is very compact. Its ripe, dark berries are covered with a waxy, white layer that protects them from the sun. With their great complexity, the full-bodied, deep dark wines have a long storage potential. On the nose there is a lot of fruit with hints of spices. It flatters the palate with its soft tannins. Depending on the ripeness, it can also have balsamic notes

light, spicy meat dishes, pasta, or mature cheese.

Ripe cherries and blackberries tickle the nose, accompanied by cinnamon, vanilla and licorice. Juicy and elegant with a medium structure, this Nero d'Avola presents itself as a charming Italian flatterer with a long finish.
