"This wine is made from Negroamaro grapes coming from the small 65-year-old vineyard of the same name cultivated in the ""Apulian bush"" and located in the coastal strip north of Brindisi on ""red soil"" and limestone subsoil. Intense ruby red, inviting aromas of ripe fruits such as cherry, blackberry, blood orange, rose petals and medicinal herbs against a lightly iodine background with hints of sweet tobacco and vanilla on the nose. The taste is of solid structure and impressive freshness, firm tannins smoothed by a regenerating flavour, harmonious and persistent taste finish. Aged for 24 months in steel for 2/3 of its volume and for the remaining 12 months in second passage barriques. 3 months in bottle.
A powerful and elegant wine that goes well with succulent first courses such as orecchiette with meat sauce and second courses such as Puglia braciola, pork loin in crust with mushrooms and aged cheeses such as Caciocavallo Podolico.
Intense ruby red, on the nose inviting aromas of ripe fruit such as cherry, blackberry, blood orange, rose petals and medicinal herbs on a low-iodine background with hints of sweet tobacco and vanilla. On the palate it shows a solid structure and a remarkable freshness, firm tannins smoothed by a regenerating spiciness and a harmonious and persistent finish.
