We started selling our liqueurs just for fun. Jefferson was convinced he had the best Amaro in the world. Maybe he was right. The label read: “Amaro Importante”. A name that stands for the successes he had achieved with his liqueur in the great salons of Italy and Europe. Gil and Roger never expected so much recognition. Jefferson Amaro Importante. The story goes that after surviving the shipwreck, he found refuge in the old bonded warehouse (Vecchio Magazzino Doganale). It was he who selected and collected citrus fruits, aromatic spices and herbs from all over Calabria. Today it is all reproduced again in an authentic way, paying close attention to detail. Bergamot, sweet and sour oranges, rosemary and oregano are the basic and natural ingredients from Calabria. Combined with other herbs and spices, they make up the unique Jefferson. Its Mediterranean flavor can be enjoyed both at room temperature and at low temperature. Ideal for mixing, for great classics, as a bitter or as an addition to vermouth.
